With the creation of the View Askewniverse, Kevin Smith was quick to see the need for fans to have a way to communicate. While the Internet was in its public infancy (circa 1996), Smith began creating a place for the View Askew Tribe to meet, hence, the View Askew Message Board was born. And while different places have been added to the tribe’s meeting places (Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc.), and the shared interests have expanded, there is nothing more – well for lack of a better term – tribal, than a tattoo.
As long as there have been humans aligning into tribes, there have been tattoos marking allegiance to those tribes. Whether it’s a Maori facial tattoo, or a BITCH PLANET non compliant stamp, nothing says, “I’m a part of something, and you either get it or you don’t,” like permanent ink.
We at SModCo, thought it was time to check in with the ever-expanding tribe and fly some of the recent colors we’ve seen.
